Buttercream Blonde

Buttercream Blonde haircolor is the perfect balance between warm and cool tones. It offers a natural and sophisticated look that complements a wide range of skin tones. The subtle blend of buttery yellow and creamy beige hues creates a multidimensional effect, adding depth and richness to the hair. This versatile shade can be customized to suit individual preferences, whether you desire a soft, sun-kissed glow or a more vibrant, statement-making style. With its timeless appeal and flattering finish, buttercream blonde is a stunning choice for anyone looking to refresh their faded summer look

Choose Your Technique

Creating a gorgeous buttercream blonde requires the right tools and technique to achieve that dreamy, creamy hue your clients are craving. With Product Club color accessories, you can elevate your client experience and wow your clients with precise results. Depending on your canvas you can create this look with balayage, traditional babylights, or a simple base bump with gloss.

Low Maintenance Options

For those who prefer a more low-maintenance approach, root smudging (also known as base bumping) can be an excellent technique to seamlessly blend the buttercream blonde with natural roots, resulting in a softer grow-out phase. This technique involves using an alkaline demi color to shift the natural base anywhere from half a level to one level to marry the base with the highlights. Additionally, incorporating bond building treatments or a deep conditioning mask can help maintain the health and vibrancy of the blonde locks, ensuring they remain lustrous and strong.

Take Your Time

When it comes to application, take your time and work methodically. Section the hair neatly with sectioning clips and use pop-up foils to help brighten the color and create dimension, especially around the face for a bright, face-framing effect. A fun way to create a bright yet lived-in effect is by using a dual lighting technique. Weave a section and clip up the weave with a grip clip while maintaining hold of the remaining hair. Apply a foil under the remaining hair and saturate with your mid tone formula (perhaps a 9 beige). Drop the weave back down and apply your brightest formula staying about an inch away from the root area. The result will be a natural shimmer of warm and cool tones dancing together! There are many ways to use this technique:

  • Traditional Mohawk placement
  • Back-to-back foils to create a stronger set/ribbon of color
  • On the 6 points of the head (crown, both sides, fringe and both sides of the nape)

Use your creativity the possibilities are endless.

Choose Your Tools Wisely

Keep a close eye on the processing time with a digital timer. Buttercream blonde is all about achieving a healthy, soft, creamy tone, so make sure not to over-process the color. A few other favorite Product Club tools for creating multidimensional looks such as this include a balayage board, which aids in precise application of color and the feather bristle brush, perfect for achieving soft, natural highlights. The balayage film is another essential tool, allowing controlled free-hand lightening while maintaining the moisture in your lightener as it processes.

Buttercream Blonde is a beautiful choice for many clients this season but always remember that hair color choice should reflect your client’s personality and lifestyle. Happy Coloring!
